Free agent Wada agrees on 3-year deal with Chunichi

TOKYO, Japan - Free agent outfielder Kazuhiro Wada speaks to reporters in Tokyo on Nov. 9 after signing a three-year contract with the Chunichi Dragons. Wada, 35, who played the last 11 seasons for the Seibu Lions, joined Seibu in 1997 and led the Pacific League with a .322 batting average and 153 hits in 2005. He has hit .317 lifetime with 177 homers and 543 RBIs in 958 games.

Fukudome in Chicago to formalize 4-year deal with the Cubs

CHICAGO, United States - Kosuke Fukudome is all smiles as he banters with reporters on arrival in Chicago on Dec. 18 to sign a four-year contract with the Chicago Cubs reportedly worth $48 million. The 30-year-old former Chunichi Dragons outfielder batted .305 with a .397 on-base percentage and a .543 slugging percentage in 1,074 career games.
